- Just happened to get the latest WS_FTP that was posted this morning. It
- now has an account field in its dialog boxes. Perhaps this is what you need.
- You can get a copy from ftp.usma.edu in directory /pub/msdos. This is a superb
- graphical ftp client.

- Subject: Problem using QVTWSK 3.96 with Trumpet's SLIP
-
- Hi,
-
- i'm trying to use WINQVTNET (QVTNET for Winsock) 3.96 together with Trumpet
- Winsockets (Version 1.0 Alpha #18) over SLIP. My terminal server does
- dynamically assign the IP adress, so i understand that i have to set the
- <name> and <ip> field of QVTNET.INI to BOOT to enable QVTNET to get the ip
- adress and the host name. If i do so i always get a GPF and i have to restart
- Windows to get TCPMAN working again.
-
- I also tried to follow the FAQ that came with QVTNET 3.96. It claims that
- leaving the <ip> and <name> fields blank will bring up a dialog at startup
- which will let you enter the IP adress. But the only thing that happens is
- that QVTNET brings up an error message like 'Local Host name not specified'
- and then it terminates.
-
- Any ideas ?
-
- Thanx in advanve,
- Alex
